TSAR 2025 Consortium meeting in London

The last yearly meeting of the TSAR consortium took place in University College London from the 4th to the 6th of June 2025 in the form of a small workshop followed by a steering committee meeting. The first day was dedicated to electric orders with several talks on antiferroelectrics and ferroelectric superlattices. Their interesting chiral textures were further analysed and are better understood compared to last year. A significant part of the talks reported nice advances in modelling and theoretical predictions were also presented concerning chiral polarization structures in other ‘simple’ ferroelectrics like BaTiO3. The second day targeted multiferroics, especially BiFeO3 in which topological structures can now be controlled using advanced growth techniques and observed using our different state of the art tools. Dynamical properties in the domains and domain walls were also addressed but remain at an early stage of understanding. As usual, the meeting allowed for interesting scientific discussions in a friendly atmosphere. The upcoming events including the symposium organized by TSAR members in the EMRS Warsaw in September were discussed and the last reporting is now planned for December this year in Paris.
