Kevin Co is a post-doctorate researcher with a background of multiscale modelling of ferroelectric oxides atthe University of Connecticut. His work at CentraleSupélec involves implementing Landau theory models of ferroelectric and multiferroic BaTiO₃and BiFeO₃ within a finite element framework in order to explore extrinsic effects on embedded nanoparticles. Such models are commensurate with experimental length scales and are utilized to better understand size and shape effects on ferroelectric domains and dielectric properties, as well astopological objects and charged domain walls.
